I have to say this is an author who's going places. On her Twitter page she has that she will one day be a New York Times best selling author and after reading this, I don't doubt it.I don't normally read this genre as it falls more under what I would consider YA, but the sinister aspect of the book lured me in and I'm so glad it did. One reviewer said this is pretty little liars on crack; that description fits perfectly. I will definitely be looking for more of this series and one clicking it.

Great story that keeps you entertained. You really get engrossed with the characters. It certainly is a page turner! Can't wait for book # 2.
There was a lot more animal cruelty in this book than I had expected. It makes sense, but I think that it could scare some people away. It was a little hard to read all in all, bullying, psychological torture, and physical violence feature on a lot of the pages. However it was very well written and surprisingly more than once.
The book is an edgy and surprisingly hardcore little thriller. Although first in a series, it's got a satisfying ending.
I rarely start a review with a warning, but in this case, I will. There is a lot of animal cruelty in the first part of this book. A lot. It's necessary to the character and makes sense within the story, but it can be kind of tough to read about.
In fact, much of the book is pretty unrelenting. Bullying, psychological torture, and physical violence all feature. And you are taken right into the mind of a true sociopath and her sycophants.
Although hard to read, the book is well written and as you get to the last third of the book, things happen that take the reader completely by surprise. I was completely shocked as certain things were revealed - the book is more complex than you think at first.
The book is an edgy and surprisingly hardcore little thriller. Although first in a series, it's got a satisfying ending. If you can take the beginning of the book, the twists and turns in the final part of the book make it all worth your while.
Would I read the next book? I have to. The author left me wondering - in a good way!

This was an amazing read! So many twists and turns, and the writing kept you on the edge of your seat. You never knew just what Autumn was going to do next. The characters were well drawn, and the plot was so intricate that just when you thought you knew what was going to happen - BAM - it would veer off in a totally different direction.
It was obvious that the author had done her homework about sociopaths. Autumn felt like a real life one. The things that were written were scary and accurate for a sociopath. It was almost too scary the things that Tiffany Nicole Smith dreamed up. I don't want to give one single thing away because that is the beauty of this book, but Autumn really is crazy, manipulative and domineering. I felt really bad for Cicily. I just wanted her to open up to someone - anyone really. The mom had blinders on, but I guess that is realistic as well. No mom wants to acknowledge that they have birthed a monster.
Things are not neatly wrapped up in this book. I want the second one this minute, but I am afraid that I will have to wait a while. It's not even on Goodreads yet. The second one promises to be just as enjoyable. (I got a sneak peek at the first chapter). So many threads left unanswered - aargh.
Everything was top notch in this novel. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves a good, psychological thriller.
This book was a winner from beginning to end! I like to read all types of books, but my favorites are always those that keep me guessing. And this book and its characters keep you guessing. I had a hard time putting it down. I can't wait for the second book!
