Ohh so twisted. Right off the bat we are in a sick individuals head. Javen is part of an Amish community who has just returned from being shunned. He suffers from a God complex and has set his sights on a young girl named Hannah. Both Hannah and her father inform him he is delusional and there will be no marriage.After that the story jumps to 10 years later to show that Hannah has left the Amish community and joined the English world as a SBI Homicide Detective. The confirmed death of her dog and the presumed death of her father were her reasons for leaving. She has vowed to find the killer even though that meant leaving the only life she ever known behind.
When bodies start turning up dressed in Amish clothes and looking like Hannah, she realizes that her worst fear has probably showed back up, Javen.
Hannah and her partner Sean Murphy, who just goes by Murph in the book, have a very interesting relationship. Hannah is not interested in anything to do with romance. Her partner on the other hand teases her all the time with wanting to hook up and sexual innuendo. But at the core the two are very close friends and would die for each other.
Throughout this book we certainly get a look at both the good and bad of Amish and commune life and it made for interesting reading. This is not a standalone book and the ending though defiantly a happy for now leaves a few things open for future books. It will be interesting to see where the author plans to take this series.

Another great read by Allie K. Adams. This is Allie's first foray into the thriller market, and what a fantastic start to the Murph and Grace series. Very unique storyline, creepy villan, and fun hero and heroine.
Wow what a well written heart pounding read but i had to keep reading, I could relate to Hannah in some parts of the book with how she was feeling or reacting and it pulled me in more wanting to see how she would handle things. Murph i didn't know if i wanted to shake him or slap him but i enjoyed his character. There were some surprising developments in this book and i look forward to more.
This is a reasonably good book, although it lacks reality (thank goodness) when attempting to tell the tale from the point of view of the psychopathic villain.
The heroine is a likable character, and the author has put considerable effort into creating her. Similarly, the hero has been built fairly carefully. Nonetheless, I had difficulty establishing a bond with either character. I think that additional details of some of the supporting characters might actually have helped me in this regard.
There is some rather brutal violence in the book. It is quite possible, given the tone and details of the rest of the book, that merely implying some of that might have been a stronger strategy. In addition, more description of areas might have been helpful.
This is the first book that I have read by Allow K Adams. She is a brilliant, amazing writer! I loved this book. I loved the Amish ties to it. I grew up near Lancaster, PA and as a child, we would visit often, going to the Amish Farms that were open for tours and and produce stands. I sometimes wished that I were Amish. I noticed that there is a second book and I really do hope that Hannah and Murph can somehow get together. I think they ate so funny and cute together. The end really creeper me out. That guy, Javon is a real nut job and I really hope something bad happens to him. I loved it and it was a relief that to read in detail about the torture that Javon put his victims through. I liked that it was about Murph and Hannah and their struggles to solve the murders. Great Book, I definitely recommend it.
This is one awesome story and it has came out at the prefect time for Halloween as i read it i got chills. Allie K Adams is one of the best writers i have ever read this story about Hannah is a Homicide cop ,who grew up as Amish and then stepped out of the Amish life for reason you will have to buy and read this book for yourself to find out. Trust me you cant go wrong buying this one.The other character in this book is her Partner Murphy who is a great Homicide cop and is very protective of Hannah and then we have a villain in this story who is obsessed with Hannah this book has so many twist and turn again i have to say is a must buy I loved this story. I will say this people have more strength than they can ever have.Most diffidently a 5 STAR READ i would give it a higher rating but it don't go any higher.
